Hi all. Sorry I haven't posted since Thanksgiving.
I have been working on getting my strength and stamina back. Last year I had a staph infection in my leg and foot for 9 months. (I am diabetic.) The doctors thought at one point they would have to amputate. I am so deconditoned and overweight. I am now on disability, using a cane, and riding the Ride Source Van that drops you door to door. It is a real blessing.
Just recently, my husband was rediagnoed from schizophrenia to bipolar 2. His mania is cycles of rage. The new medication is helping. I found myself going through a grieving process all over again. It is hard to lose the hope of having a "normal" man to love and love me back. I have to be careful not to trigger and notice when he starts to cycle and try to break the cycle before he is too far spiraled up or down. It is exhausting at times. There are good times in between. He has the most engaging boyish grin And he helps me around the house. Plus he rubs my feet every night. And I do love him very much. We are working on our 24th year of marriage.
I have been reading alot. Right now I am reading : The River of God by Dutch Sheets, Your Authority in Prayer by Dutch Sheets, and 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper. Also cookbooks by Rachel Ray, Sandra Lee, and the Barefoot Contessa--Ina Garten.
